Josephine Duggan
"Beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother"
LOWELL Josephine (Albrecht) Duggan, 94, a lifelong Lowell resident, died peacefully Monday, April 18, 2011, at Palm Manor Nursing Home, with her family by her side. She was the widow of the late Francis P. Duggan who died in 2001.
A daughter of the late George and the late Esther E. (Forrest) Albrecht, she was born January 24, 1917, in Lowell and was educated in the local schools.
She made her home on Christian Hill and was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, where she was also a member of the Holy Rosary Society, the Ladies Sodality, and the Legion of Mary. Josephine volunteered for many years in the kitchen of St. Michael’s School. Her faith and her family were her two greatest joys.
Her survivors include her two daughters, Sheila K. Emerson and her husband, Irving ‘Sonny’, of Lowell and Eileen M. Bouchard and her husband, Gerald, of Laconia, NH; her six grandchildren, Michael Emerson, Kimberly Emerson-Daly and her husband, William, Beth Emerson Lane and her husband, James, Lynne Bouchard, Lori Bouchard, and Lisa (Bouchard) St. Arnaud and her husband, Peter; three great grandchildren, Brad W. Daly, Thomas M. Lane, and Alyssa N. Bouchard; and several nieces and nephews.
