James John ‘Jimmy’ Holmes
LOWELL James John ‘Jimmy’ Holmes, 48, of Lowell, died Monday, December 12, 2011, at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington after a brief illness.
Born December 23, 1962, in Everett, he was a son of Dianne (Gianelli) Holmes of New Hampshire, and the late John Holmes. Jimmy grew up in Wilmington, and was educated in the Wilmington School System, graduating from Shawsheen Vocational Technical High School. He later graduated from the Computer Learning Center in Somerville.
He worked as a press brake mechanic, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandson, who affectionately knew him as Gampa. He also enjoyed taking his dog, Patches, to parks for exercise and personal play time.
In addition to his mother, Dianne, he is survived by his daughter, Jennalee Holmes of Lowell; his grandson, Kalvin James Holmes of Lowell; his brother, John Holmes of Wilmington; his former wife, Wendy Vye; and his partner, Alan Pinto of Manchester, NH.
He was also a brother of the late Jacqueline Holmes who passed away in 1995, He was also affectionately loved by Wendy's parents, the late Annie and Chick Vye.
