Edward J. Geiger

LOWELL Edward J. Geiger, 73, of Lowell, died Friday, August 12, 2011, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Carolyn (Reimert) Geiger, with whom he celebrated their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary this year.

Born August 28, 1937, in Catasauqua, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Joseph and the late Agnes Geiger, and was educated in the Catasauqua School System.

Mr. Geiger made his home in Lowell, and had formerly resided in Allentown and Catasauqua, Pennsylvania. For more than twenty three years prior to his retirement, he worked for in the maintenance department of Saints Medical Center.

In addition to spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, he enjoyed model airplanes, trains, reading non-fiction, and Nascar.
In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by his daughter, Sandra Gochis and her husband, William, of Hubbardston; his grandchildren, Justine and William; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also a brother of the late Vincent Geiger and the late John Geiger, and brother in law of Joan, MaryJane, and Susan.
