Emilia 'Millie' (Rodriguez) Santos
LOWELL Emilia 'Millie' (Rodriguez) Santos, 55, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 5, 2011 at her home.
Born July 10, 1955, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of Carlos Rodriguez of New York, and the late Clemencia (Lugo) Rodriguez. She was raised and educated in Puerto Rico before coming to the United States when she was fifteen, settling in Lowell.
She resided in the Chelmsford Street area, and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church. She was previously employed for Raytheon in South Lowell and also as a certified nurses assistant at Life Care Center in Billerica. She was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and watching television, especially Spanish Soap Operas.
She is survived by four daughters, Nannette J. Morales and Wilfredo Ortiz of Lowell, Sonia N. Santos and Edwin Ortiz of Florida, Sandra I. Rosario and her husband, Junior of Lowell, and Brenda Cole and her husband, Dennis of Dracut; fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; her longtime boyfriend, Luis Colon of Lowell; and many sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was also the mother of the late Awilda Nieves who passed away in 2001.
