Elizabeth Ann Sullivan

Lowell Elizabeth A. "Betty" (Sullivan) Sullivan, of Lowell, passed away on January 26, peacefully at the age of 83 with family members by her side. She was the widow of James H. Sullivan who passed away in 1999.

Born July 1, 1927, in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Patrick, and the late Mary (Trant) Sullivan, she was educated in the Everett Schools, and at the Immaculate Conception Girls Catholic High School in Malden. Later she became a registered nurse, after graduating from the Faulkner Hospital School of Nursing, in Jamaica Plain.

She joined her husband in Lowell after their marriage in 1952. She was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church, and also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church Women's Guild, as well as the Greater Lowell League of Catholic Women. She was a Registered Nurse at Tewksbury State Hospital for over 20 years. She was quite proud of her career in nursing.

The thing most important to her was her family, and she is survived by 5 children, Mary Patricia Sullivan, of Tucson, AZ, Chris J. Sullivan of Winder, GA, Edward J. Sullivan of Londonderry, NH, Ann and her husband Michael Donovan of Sagamore Beach, MA, and Barbara Sullivan of Tucson, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Keith and his wife Tina, Joshua, James, Sean, Courtney and Meghan; 4 great grandchildren Kalynn, Kyli, Kyra, and Kyan, her dearest friend Jean McCarthy of Lowell, a sister in law, Rita Sullivan of Centerville, sister in law, Genevive Sullivan of Lowell, brother in law, William H. Sullivan and his wife, Margaret, of Palm City, FL, sister in law, Margaret Shannon and her husband, James, of Lowell, sister in law Helen McNamee of Lowell, sister in law Naomi Sullivan of Lowell, many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was the sister of the late Joseph Sullivan and the late Mary Sullivan. She was also the sister of the late Thomas R. Sullivan, Walter T. Sullivan, Mary H. Sullivan, Monica O'Hare, and Joseph E. Sullivan.
