
Catherine Rita 'Ace' (Havey) Adams
LOWELL Catherine Rita 'Ace' (Havey) Adams, 68, of Tewksbury, died after a long illness Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Saints Medical Center. She was the former wife of the late Russell J. Adams, a retired Lowell Fire Fighter.
Born August 16, 1942, in Cambridge, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Havey, and the late Anna Rita (Clark) Havey. She was raised in Belmont, where she attended Elementary School before moving to Lowell. She graduated from Lowell High School, and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Lowell High School Girl Officers.
She lived in Lowell for many years before recently moving to Tewksbury. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time and playing games with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and playing cards with her friends. An avid sports fan, she especially loved the New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. She was a communicant of St. Williams Church in Tewksbury. Before her retirement, Catherine was employed at Raytheon Corporation in South lowell and as an administrative assistant at Old Mother Hubbard for many years.
She is survived by a daughter, Dawn Morand and her husband, David of Harwich, MA; two sons, Mark Adams and his wife, Jacqueline of Chelmsford, and Scott Adams and his girlfriend, Cherilyn Barry of Lowell; two granddaughters, Samantha Morand and Sabrina Morand both of Harwich, MA; a sister, Maureen McSheehy and her husband, John of Tewksbury; an aunt, Patricia Gillick of Hampton Beach, NH; three nephews, Sean McSheehy of Tewksbury, Ryan McSheehy and his wife, Shivaun of Keene, NH, and Kevin McSheehy and his wife, Katie of Tewksbury; and a niece, Erin Claycomb and her husband, Patrick of Tewksbury.
